Protulis Towers is a 119-unit Affordable Housing development, completed in 2021 by Interurban, Integra’s Affordable and Workforce housing vertical.
Featuring two buildings (Protulis Towers East, and Protulis Towers West) in the Brownsville neighborhood of Miami-Dade County, ¼ of a mile from the Brownsville Metrorail Station, the development features one- and two-bedroom units, and was envisioned to aid the area’s shortage of affordable housing for the elderly population.
To help bring the project to life, Portulis Towers received a competitive allocation of 9% Low Income Housing Tax Credits (“LIHTC”), in addition to a competitive Miami-Dade County Surtax subordinate financing to supplement the development’s capitalization.
Designed by CC Hodgson Architectural Group, which specializes in premium elderly housing, Protulis Towers was developed in partnership with Elderly Housing Development and Operations Corporation (“EHDOC”), a national non-profit organization specializing in Affordable Housing for seniors.
